Synopsis
In 1983, a determined couple left Hong Kong to pursue a brighter future in the United States for their family. They navigated the challenges of adapting to a new country and culture, steadfastly forging their own path. After years of hard work and resilience, they realized their dream of providing a better life for their family and future generations, ultimately retiring in 2013. This is their inspiring story.

Director’s bio
Sherwin Lau is an award-winning filmmaker and educator based in New Mexico. Since 2006, he has worked on feature films, documentaries, commercials, and music videos and has collaborated with filmmakers all around the world. In addition to his filmmaking career, he teaches undergraduate courses at the Creative Media Institute at New Mexico State University.
